After years of teasing us with that legendary “surf in the forest” dream, Surf117 is finally coming home — and it’s landing right here in Saint-Sauveur!

Yes, you read that right. Canada’s first towed wave pool, the one that had everyone buzzing back in 2018–2019, is relocating its massive foil system to the heart of the Laurentians. We’re talking 25-second glassy rides, that perfect forest-meets-mountain vibe, and sessions you can actually book without driving 6h+++.
Where? Right off Chemin Avila — basically in Axis Boutique’s backyard. We’ve been dreaming about this partnership since day one, and now it’s happening.

Picture it: you grab your wetsuit and board from us, stroll over to the new basin, and rip towed waves with the Monts as your backdrop.
What’s coming this summer:
- Beginner sessions with instructors (board + wetsuit included)
- Open surf for the rippers (long rides for days)
- Evening glow sessions under the Laurentian sky

Surf117 was an absolute legend of a project — towed waves in the woods, Canadian innovation at its finest — but it never quite made it to full public opening (we still love the dream though). Much love E.A. ❤️
BUT HERE’S THE REAL GOOD NEWS:
The waves have always been here, and they’re better than ever at Sommet Saint-Sauveur’s Wave Pool!
We’ve been running and promoting the official surf sessions there for years, and this summer (July through late August 2026) it’s going to be epic:
- Initiation sessions (beginners): $75 taxes in — board + instructor included, max 10 spots, perfect for learning in a safe, controlled wave pool.
- Open sessions (experienced only): $35 taxes in — ride as much as you want, no hand-holding (you gotta be 100% autonomous). Boards available to rent from us for $20.
Sessions run in the evenings with 12-minute wave cycles. Kids 11 and under need an adult in the water. Wetsuits strongly recommended (we’ve got ’em all at the shop).
