An icon unleashed. We've taken the surf-inspired feel of the original Sakana's swallowtail and redesigned it for skiers who link rails, spins, side hits, and solid park landings. Now featuring a slightly raised tail for smoother switch landings, plus Thick-Cut Sidewalls, Bio-Resin, and Thin Tips for ultimate durability, even on rails and during repeated sessions. The same energy: unconventional carving and slashing at will. But stronger. Even more freestyle.

Bio-Resin

They offer better grip, better resistance to cold temperatures and a 20% reduction in the carbon footprint of the resin for each ski produced.

Thick-Cut Sidewall

We increased the amount of sidewalls extending into the core of the ski while adding more material to the steel edges to increase the overall contact area. This creates sidewalls that are more resistant to the impacts of hard edges, such as ski rails.

Thin Tip

We extended the ski's core all the way to the tips and tail, while also creating a glass-on-glass bonding zone in the tip and tail. This allows for uniform compaction of the ski's tip and tail and encapsulates anything that could delaminate within a large glass-on-glass bonding area. This means that even if delamination can still occur, it will prevent it from spreading to the ski's core and limit the problem to edge chipping.

5CUT™ Multi-Radius Sidecut

Five different radii are integrated into the ski's sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes and an intuitive feel.

FATTY BASE & EDGE™

A base and edges that are 30% thicker, 2mm wide x 2.5mm high steel edges and a 1.7mm thick base significantly increase the durability and lifespan of the skis.

Sintered Base

A dense, high‑performance base that absorbs wax efficiently for superior glide. Known for speed and durability across snow types.

SWALLOWTAIL

The tail knockout decouples the sections furthest from the effective edge while forcing the ski's tail down into soft snow. The result is a ski that can be used at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance. Eric Pollard developed this design after experiencing its benefits in surfboard and snowboard design. The swallowtail design is as important for what it isn't as what it is! The absence of material in the tail significantly reduces weight, while the shape maintains a long, effective edge for arching turns and maintaining control. In powder, the tail helps you land by lifting your tips for good float while maintaining a neutral skiing stance so you're not stuck in the back seat trying to stay afloat. For those concerned about durability, fear not, the tail is reinforced with titanal to remain a single piece.

SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION

The vertical walls made of ultra-high-density polyethylene on the edges absorb vibrations and ensure powerful energy transmission.

EARLY RISE

The tip and tail lift off the snow to bring the contact points closer to the center of the ski. This increases the ski's flotation in deep snow and allows it to engage more quickly on hard snow when carving on edge.

DIRECTIONAL FLEX

The softer tip floats and initiates turns easily, while the stiffer tail provides power, stability, and control at high speeds.
