This season we have re-thought, re-engineered and rebuilt every little bit of the UltraRange to make it more sustainable. This includes a molded VR3Cush™ midsole, a lightweight construction, a VR3Waffle™ rubber outsole, and a breathable upper made with 100% recycled PET. The UltraRange VR3 is the manifestation of an idea: that it is not where we are going, but how we get there. Our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. Big or small, all of our efforts add up to positive change. To earn the VR3 Checkerboard globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made up of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials. PRODUCT FEATURES: • UPPER MATERIAL: The one piece upper is made with 100% Recycled PET. • FOOTBED: The new VR3Cush™ midsole is made using at least 25% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plant-based sources per the ASTM D6866-16 testing standard. •OUTSOLE: The new VR3Waffle outsole made with a proprietary compound containing at least 25% responsibly sourced natural rubber obtained from sources that follow proven sustainable practices with the intention of reducing impacts on the planet. This new natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since 66).
